What a Wonderful (sic) World
Presidential aspirant Mitt Romney is someone I'm definitely not voting for. In Foreign Affairs journal, he warns that "many still fail to comprehend the extent of the threat posed by radical Islam, specifically by those extremists who promote violent jihad against the United States and the universal values Americans espouse."
Presidential aspirant Mitt Romney, I say to you,"Many are still being deceived by the few, who do not comprehend the extent of the threat posed by Global Warming (wanna call it Global Climate Change? be my guest), especially when "captains of industry", and the "leaders of the free world" fail to promote cutting emissions, and finding alternative energy sources with near-zero emissions."
Presidential aspirant Rudy Giuliani on the Democratic candidates,"I am becoming increasingly concerned that the Democrats don't mention the term 'Islamic terrorism' during their debates. . . . I almost get the sense that they are debating as if there isn't an Islamic terrorist threat to this country."
Presidential aspirant Rudy Giuliani, I say to you, "I am becoming increasingly concerned that the Republicans don't mention the term 'Global Warming' during their debates. . . . I almost get the sense that they are debating as if there isn't a Greenhouse Gas threat to the whole world."

mkay, done with my ranting and raving
now for the important segment of this post:
The 'situation' in New Orleans
You haven't heard about it?
That figures, the mainstream media fails again.
A large affordable public housing unit was dilapidated.
Some wanted to repair it.
Others wanted to destroy it and replace it with new affordable housing.
A few wanted to destroy it and replace it with.....nothing (in other words, condos)
The few? The city council...and....developers!
What a surprise!!!!
Heres the best part:
The city council said the buildings were going down without a written promise for replacements no matter how many people were against it.
The city council meeting was held. They barred the gates to all except developers.
Protesters gathered.
Riot Police gathered.
"Housing is a human right!" the protesters shouted.
The police replied with tasers and pepper spray (which together mean big fire)
Protesters were arrested for 'disturbing the peace'.
(if 'disturbing the peace' is a crime, why isn't our wonderful marvelous president in jail? Oh, destroying the peace isn't a crime)
And the vote to destroy the housing passed unanimously.
Granted, the council passed out housing vouchers to the residents of the buildings.
They get to go to those wonderful FEMA trailers.
Even better yet: people have begun to be evicted from aforementioned trailers.
What's next? Concentration camps for the poor?
(city council, don't get any ideas)
I wonder what Louis Armstrong would say about the world now?

Around this time last year, the Gulf Stream Current wasn't flowing all the way to Great Britain...not a big deal right? Wrong. This causes killer storms, methane releases, temperature changes (and other Day After Tomorrow weather) Look at some of the headlines from that time period

and on and on and on and on and on
Jack Johnson-Better Together (thanks to youtube) is playing
but im not feeling mellow, or calm.
I'm angry
I've been perpetually angry at the state and shape of the world for a while.

I've been perpetually angry at the state and shape of the world for a while.
The world is screwed up (or down, for that matter) in so many ways
The worst part:not many people seem to care
Especially kids my age: why does it seem that this self-created melodrama (it's really quite pitiful) have more importance than:
The situation in Darfur
World poverty and hunger
(and on) Global Warming
Deforestation
Substance Abuse
(and on) The encroaching right wing
the list goes on and on.......
